Effect of grain size on aging microstructure as reflected in the transformation behavior of a low-temperature aged Ti–50.8 at.% Ni alloy

2013
A cold-drawn Ti–50.8 at.% Ni wire was annealed at 700 °C for different times, leading to increasing grain size as a function of the annealing time. Theses samples were further aged at 250 °C for 24 h. After aging treatment, samples with different grain sizes showed different transformation behavior. This study explains the influence of grain size on the aging microstructure of the aged Ti–50.8 at.% Ni alloy and the subsequent transformation behavior.
