Cλ and CE values (dosimetry)

An MEL (SL75/20) linear accelerator, an absorbed dose calorimeter and ferrous sulphate have been used to obtain absorbed dose correction factors, Clambda and CE, for use with a Farmer ionisation chamber. The calorimeter is a twin quasi-adiabatic graphite absorber type and has been used for the measurement of 8 and 16 MV X-rays. The Fricke Dosemeter Reference Service of the National Physical Laboratory was also utilised for 16 MV X-rays and 8 and 14 MeV electrons.
