Final Environmental Assessment for San Andres Water Line, Holloman Air Force Base, Otero County, New Mexico

2007
Abstract : The United States Air Force (U.S. Air Force) is proposing to replace the San Andres water line at the Boles Well Field, the northernmost field of the Boles Wells Water System Annex (BWWSA) at Holloman Air Force Base (AFB), near Alamogordo, New Mexico. The existing 12,300 linear feet of 16-inch steel reinforced concrete cylinder pipe are over 50 years old and deteriorated due to age. The project is needed to replace the existing water line, which is the only connection to the southern section of the BWWSA and is critical infrastructure for Holloman AFB. The purpose of this action is to ensure a reliable water supply to Holloman AFB, which is essential to the 49th Fighter Wing's mission
