The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for reducing the temperature coefficient of the influence of the atomic frequency standard, which belongs to the field of atomic frequency standard. The method comprising: measuring the temperature of the working environment at working atomic frequency standard; the operating temperature and comparing the measured frequency standard reference operation temperature of the atoms; employing the working temperature difference and the reference operation temperature calculating a frequency compensation value; frequency compensation value using the output frequency of the atomic frequency standard to compensate. The apparatus comprising: temperature measurement module, a processing module, and a compensation module.
