Recuperación de espermatozoides testiculares para ICSI mediante TESA en un caso de aneyaculación psicógena el día de la punción

The diagnostic tests and treatments to which infertility couples are subjected during assisted reproduction frequently produce stress and anxiety. During IVF treatments, the male may experience this situation the day of oocyte retrieval, when he must produce a semen sample. The stress that this situation may generate can be responsible, in some cases, of ejaculation failure which, in turn, may result in cancellation of the IVF cycle. In this case report, we present a case of psychogenic anejaculation the day of oocyte retrieval in which a TESA (testicular sperm aspiration) procedure was applied allowing obtaining testicular spermatozoa for ICSI and avoiding cancellation of the cycle.
