Providing integrity checking and confirmation in a hidden execution environment

In one embodiment, a processor includes a microcode memory, the processor commands to create and execute a hidden resource manager (Hidden Resource Manager, HRM) for executing includes a hidden area which is not visible to the system software. The processor may further include an extension register for storing security information, which include a measurement of at least one kernel code module the hidden location and a status of a verification of at least a kernel code module.
