PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN RISET MAHASISWA MELALUI PELATIHAN OLAH DATA STATISTIK DENGAN SPSS

Abstrak : Hasil observasi di lapangan ditemukan mahasiswa enggan untuk melakukan penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dikarenakan tidak memahami aplikasi IBM Statistik SPSS dan memiliki persepsi bahwa statistik adalah sulit, sehingga tujuan pelatihan ini untuk mendorong dan memotivasi mahasiswa serta meyakinkan bahwa untuk melakukan penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif tidak sesulit yang dipikirkan. Metode pelaksanaan pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan, pertama perencanaan dengan menyiapkan instrumen penelitian, kedua pelaksanaan yaitu tabulasi data melakukan pengujian statistik deskriptif maupun mengujian  statistik inferensial serta interpretasi data baik uji T maupun uji F dan tahap ketiga evaluasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dengan memberikan angket sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan pelatihan respon mahasiswa positif dan antusias, mahasiswa mampu menguji validatas dan reliabilitas, mampu melakukan uji asumsi klasik, mampu melakukan pengujian analisis regresi linear sederhana maupun regresi linear berganda serta mampu menginterpretasikan hasil uji statistik. Kemampuan yang dimiliki mahasiswa semakin baik dibandingkan sebelum dilaksanakan pelatihan, sehingga dapat bermanfaat serta menjadi bekal dalam menyusun karya ilmiah. Abstract: The results of field observations found that students are reluctant to conduct research with a quantitative approach because they do not understand the application of IBM Statistics SPSS and have a perception that statistics are difficult, so the purpose of this training is to encourage and motivate students and to ensure that conducting research with a quantitative approach is not as difficult as thought . The method of conducting this training is carried out in three stages, firstly planning by preparing research instruments, secondly implementing the tabulation of data conducting descriptive statistical testing or testing inferential statistics as well as data interpretation both T test and F test and the third stage of evaluation. Analysis of the data used by giving questionnaires before and after training. The results of evaluating the implementation of student response training were positive and enthusiastic, students were able to test validity and reliability, were able to test classical assumptions, were able to do simple linear regression analysis tests or multiple linear regression and were able to interpret the results of statistical tests. The ability of students is better than before training, so it can be useful and become a provision in developing scientific work
