Presença de radicais livres na lesão medular traumática

2018
Twenty first Wistar rats undervent spinal cord compressions so that a release of oxi-radicals could be recorded. An optical reactive (nitric blue tetrazol NBT) sensitive to oxi-radicals release was used. The animals were separated in three groups of eight. In group II and III an aneurism clip was used to comprees the spinal cord but only in grpup III the spinal cord was stained by the NBT. Specimens were also studied by optic nd electron microscopy. Superoxid anion was the most frequent anion found in spinal cord lesions; anoxyreoxigenation in more relevant than so-called reperfusion syndrome and the electronlucent membranes fragments seen on electron microscopy could be due to the injury of the phospholipidic membranes due to the action of oxi-radicals.
