Performance Evaluation of Roof Top Smart Microgrid at Udayana University

Smart Microgrid system on the roof top of classroom building at Udayana University has been installed for two years. It was a grant from The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia to Udayana University. The system consists of 10 unit wind turbines 500Watts each, 80 unit PV panels 330Wp each, batteries 192kVAh, and a 20kVA diesel generator. It meant to supply the classroom building in Department of Electrical Engineering. This paper describe the result of performace evaluation of the system that compare to simulation result. It was found that the performance is much lower than simulation results. It is rooms for improvement of the performance of smart microgrid system to reach its best performance.
