Haemangioendothelioma of the Nose and Paranasal Sinuses
2006
Abstract This report is of a 20-year-old man with haemangioendothelioma who presented with recurrent episodes of epistaxis. Nasal endoscopy revealed a reddish polypoidal mass arising from the middle meatus. Computed tomography scan revealed a homogenous mass involving the maxillary antrum and the nasal cavity without bony destruction. A medial maxillectomy with wide excision of the mass was performed and the histopathology was shown to be haemangioendothelioma. The patient remains free of disease 15 months after treatment.
