Antibiogram of Salmonella isolates recovered from various outbreaks in commercial broiler farms of kashmir valley

*Corresponding author : email masoodmir1@gmail.com, Antibiogram pattern of the 42 isolates of Salmonella (24 Salmonella Gallinarum, 8 Salmonella Typhimurium, 3 Salmonella Pullorum and 7 untypable) recovered from different outbreaks in commercial broiler farms in District Srinagar and its adjoining areas revealed high sensitivity towards gentamicin followed by ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, sparfloxacin, norfloxacin, cefixime. The isolates registered an intermediate response for ceftriazone, cefoperazone, doxycycline, tetracycline, ampicillin. Erythromycin, rifampicin, nalidixic acid, trimethoprim, chloramphenicol and suphafurazole were found reistant.
