Results and analysis of CDC,pressure steam sterilization equipment monitoring

Objective To find the problems and shortage in the pressure sterilization steam sterilization.Methods From 2009 to 2010,a total of five pressure steam sterilizer,continuous chemical and biological monitoring.Results From the results,biological monitoring of 240,with 95.83% pass rate,chemical monitoring 722 times,a 75.76% pass rate.Conclusions Biological monitoring is well below the sterile technical specifications required level of disinfection to ensure 10-6,and it shows that in the pressure steam sterilization method of disinfection is required to strengthen the management of focus on monitoring and improve the pass rate;Chemical monitoring and biological monitoring results differ,and the practical application of physical and chemical index card in a lot of unknown factors,is not still ideal.
