Oxidation of n-Butanol and 2-Pentanol with Molecular Oxygen in Supercritical CO2

Oxidation of n-butanol and 2-pentanol using molecular oxygen in supercritical (SC) CO2with and without co-solvent is investigated. The results showed that the reaction selectivity is highwhen the reaction is carried out in SC CO2. It has been observed that co-solvent affects conversionand selectivity of the reaction considerably.
