A separator having porous coating layer, preparation method thereof, and electrochemical device containing the same

PURPOSE: A separator, a manufacturing method thereof, and an electrochemical device including thereof are provided to prevent the problem of extending a CV section by the generation of a leak current, and to secure the shutdown function of the separator. CONSTITUTION: A separator includes the following: a nonwoven fabric material with pores; thermoplastic fine powder with the melting point or decomposing point lower than the nonwoven fabric material, located inside the pores; and a porous coating layer located on one side of the nonwoven fabric material. The nonwoven fabric material includes a mixture of inorganic material particles and a binder polymer with the melting point higher than the thermoplastic fine powder.
