An Improved Seven Level Multilevel Inverter for Grid Connected SPV Application

This paper presents a grid connected seven level multilevel inverter for Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) application. The inverter requires eight switches and two input DC sources to generate seven levels at the output. The DC input is provided by a Single - Input Dual - Output (SIDO) boost DC to DC converter. The input of the SIDO converter is connected to a Solar PV panel. The MLI is integrated with utility grid and controlled using a Particular Resonant (PR) controller. The system is designed and implemented using Matlab\Simulink. Various waveforms have been observed and recorded. Also the THD of the output waveforms were also recorded.
