Pion rescattering in the Compton effect

Contribution of pion rescattering to the pion Compton amplitude is estimated. Under the conditions of the JINR-IHEP experiment on the pion Compton effect the form of the extrapolation for the measured pion polarizability is determined and the correction to the polarizability associated with the pion rescattering is evaluated numerically.
