Synthesis and properties of polymeric long-chain Schiff base salts

A polymeric long-chain schiff base ferric salt was prepared by ferric chloride doping polymeric long-chain schiff base which was synthesized from glyoxal and ethylene diamine at 0℃ with weak acid as catalyst.The synthetic mechanism of that schiff base was discussed,and the effects of synthetic temperature on the reaction and adulterant contents on the conductivity of production were analyzed.The structure and composing of production were characterized.The conductivity of synthzised Schiff base can be 3.02×10~(-3) S/cm after FeCl_3 adulterant content was at a saturated doping rate.
