Aminocatalyzed Asymmetric Diels—Alder Reaction of 2,4-Dienals and Rhodanine/Hydantoin Derivatives.

The title reaction proceeds via a trienamine mechanism and gives rise to the formation of spirocyclic compounds (III) and (V) in good yields and excellent stereoselectivities.
