The drive method comprises the following steps: driving the display panel to display a current image through a current reverse drive mode; detecting the change value of the public voltage of the display panel within a preset time, and judging whether the change value of the public voltage is higher than a predetermined critical voltage change value or not; if the change value of the public voltage is higher than the predetermined critical voltage change value, judging that the image flicker exists, and changing the current reverse drive mode. According to the drive method, the flicker phenomenon of the liquid crystal display device can be reduced.
