A proposal for extreme statistics using annual maximum data with trend of increasing or decreasing

When annual maximum wind speed data or wave height data has trend of increasing or decreasing, preprocessing the data and removing the trend is desirable for extreme statistics. But data is used without preprocessing in many cases. In this paper, a desirable way of data processing is proposed and the difference between the results using the proposed method and the conventional one is shown.
