All-metal phased array radar antenna unit for two-dimensional wide angle scanning

2016
The invention discloses an all-metal phased array radar antenna unit for two-dimensional wide angle scanning. The all-metal phased array radar antenna unit is characterized by comprising a Vivaldi antenna with a three-dimensional structure and a metal reflecting board, wherein the Vivaldi antenna comprises a pair of ridge arms, an antenna cavity, a rectangular groove, a cylindrical resonant cavity, a rectangular coaxial outer conductor, a rectangular coaxial inner conductor and a rectangular coaxial feed interface; the antenna cavity, the rectangular groove, the cylindrical resonant cavity, the rectangular coaxial outer conductor, the rectangular coaxial inner conductor and the rectangular coaxial feed interface communicate with the ridge arms; the pair of ridge arms is radiation areas; the rectangular groove is a transmission area; the rectangular coaxial outer conductor, the rectangular coaxial inner conductor and the rectangular coaxial feed interface are feed areas; and energy receiving and transmitting are achieved through the radiation areas, the transmission area and the feed areas. The designed unit has the properties of being wide in frequency band, high in isolation, free of a scanning blindness spot in the band and the like and also has the advantages of being small, simple in structure, low in loss and the like according to the requirements of a modern radar technology on the indexes of an operating bandwidth, a scanning angle and the like; two-dimensional wide angle (+/-60 degrees) scanning can be achieved; and the radar scanning range is wider.
