Modelling the probability of a single trypanosome infecting a tsetse fly

A simple model is fitted to recent data on tsetse infection rates to estimate the probability of a single trypanosome infecting a tsetse fly. The model is extended to accommodate a possible clumping of trypanosomes in host blood.
