Axial Antenna Current Distribution in Rectangular Mine Tunnel

Using dyadic green’s functions, the axial line antenna integral equation was deduced in the rectangular mine tunnel, and the line antenna current distribution was obtained by MoM. It is discussed that the current distribution is affected by the feed point position, location of the line antenna in mine tunnel, and excitation frequency. The simulation results show that: when the axial dipole antenna is placed in the middle of the rectangular mine tunnel, exciting current distribution of it is similar to in free space. The antenna current magnitude increases when the antenna is near to the tunnel wall, and the current magnitude is decreases as the frequency increases.
