Pulsed erbium fiber laser with second harmonic generation in PPLT crystal

Nanosecond erbium fiber laser with frequency doubling in PPLT crystal at 780 nm wavelength is presented. Laser operates in the regime of constant pulse energy of 5 uJ and pulse duration of 2 ns at different frequencies in the range of 0.5–5 MHz. Average output power of 20 W was reached at the of 780 nm wavelength with 70 % conversion efficiency.
