관상동맥조영술 후 지지간호가 노인환자의 질병관련 지식수준과 역할행위 순응에 미치는 효과

Purpose: This study was to determine the effect of supportive nursing care after coronary angiography(CAG) in elderly patients on the level of knowledge and compliance score with sick-role behavior. Methods: A quasi-experimental research was conducted on 80 subjects aged 65 over with coronary artery disease who were admitted for CAG. Among the selected subjects, 40 of them were assigned to experimental group and the rest of them were assigned to control group by convenience sampling. Supportive nursing care was implemented three times by a researcher. Results: The mean level of knowledge related to coronary artery disease was higher in the group who received supportive nursing care than that of the control group (t=3.93, p=.002). And the mean score of compliance score of sick role behavior was higher in the group who received supportive nursing care than that of the control group(t=5.48, p<.001). Conclusion: The supportive nursing care after CAG was effective in increasing the knowledge level and compliance score of sick-role behavior in patients with coronary artery disease. Continuous counseling and supportive care through phone calls are needed to make knowledge and role behaviors of elderly patients after discharge.
