Efecto de una intervención motriz empleando el programa MIND MO-VES® sobre la atención y la escritura en niños de Educación Primaria

2015
Introduction. It is known the influence of a correct motor development on other cognitive functions involved in this engine component as is the writing, however the same not occur on more purely cognitive functions such as attention. MIND MOVES® motor program consist in basic movements that mimic the primitive reflexes to develop neural circuits and facilitate learning to improve their motor skills (basic patterns of movement, muscle tone and postural control). Objective. The aim of this work was to study that MIND MOVES® program had a positive effect on their level of attention and writing. Methods. To carry out this work, we evaluated the attention and level of writing in 45 children, belonging to students of 2nd and 3rd Primary Education at the beginning, middle and end of an intervention with MIND MOVES® motor program. TALE test - 2000 and FACES -R were used to measure the two variables considered. Results. It was observe significant differences between the pre– post-test means in terms of the independent variable, in the control and the experimental group. It was observed a positive correlation between attention and writing. On the other hand, a significant improvement was observed due to program MIND MOVES® in the attention test with the writing motor program and in the pretest-postest writing test with the attention program. Finally, it was seen a trend to improve further in the experimental group. Conclusions. A correlation between attention and writing were demonstrated. The students increased their level of attention and writing by schooling. The intervention with MIND MOVES® program tends to increase the level of attention and writing in the students.
