Sistema de Apoio à Gestão de Cursos de Graduação à Distância: Relato de uma Experiência na SEDIS/UFRN

RESUMO O artigo apresenta um sistema de informacao implementado na Secretaria de Ensino a Distância da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte - SEDIS/UFRN, para gerenciar as informacoes que compoem o planejamento do semestre letivo. A metodologia adotada foi uma adaptacao do ciclo de vida tradicional do desenvolvimento de sistemas de informacao. A estrategia de pesquisa foi um estudo de caso da utilizacao do referido sistema, durante o planejamento do semestre 2013.1, nos cursos de graduacao a distância da SEDIS/UFRN. Como resultados, ressalta-se que a solucao e capaz de apoiar a gestao, sobretudo as informacoes que vao compor o Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem - AVA, a agilidade na reproducao do material didatico, alem da distribuicao aos polos de ensino. ABSTRACT This article presents a information system implemented at the Distance Education Secretariat of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte – SEDIS/UFRN, to manage the information that make up the planning of the semester. The methodology used was an adaptation of the standard information systems development lifecycle. The strategy of research was a case study of the use of this system, during the planning of the semester 2013, in the distance learning undergraduate courses at SEDIS/UFRN. As results, it is pointed out that the solution is capable of supporting the management, especially the information that will build the Virtual Learning Environment – VLE, more agility in the production and printing of learning materials, as well as its distribution to centers of learning.
