Combination treatments and dose optimization to enhance peptide receptor radionuclide therapy

For this thesis we have performed preclinical studies in laboratory animals with the ultimate aim to improve PRRT. The aims of the studies presented in this thesis were to: 1 Evaluate tumour responses after a combination of PRRT with the mTOR inhibitor everolimus (RAD001) 2 Evaluate tumour responses after a combination of PRRT and the chemotherapeutic temozolomide and optimize the treatment scheme 3 Evaluate the effects of different treatment schemes and different molar activities on tumour responses and dosimetry of tumour and organs.
