Concise review: Web-based resources for critical care education

I ntegrating Web-based learning resources in medical education can enhance interactivity and has been demonstrated to improve satisfaction as well as facilitate learning efficiency (1– 4). Web-based instructional methods are often categorized as e-learning, or the use of Internet technologies to enhance knowledge and performance (5–7). e-learning has been identified as a valuable tool for teaching and learning (8, 9). Methods of e-learning include self-paced tutorials, webcasts, podcasts, and interactive learning modules. e-learning has advanced from textbooks in electronic format to a highly interactive medium to enhance education for students and postgraduate learners (9). While information on the general use of Web-based learning is available, there is limited information on the use of Web-based resources for critical care education. MATERIALS AND METHODS
