Performance Measurement and Management in Non-Governmental Organizations

Over many years ago, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have been always stuck in some concepts such as inputs, outputs, outcomes, impact and sustainability. Money raised, money spent, resources allocated and projects implemented. This process requires a comprehensive understanding of how performance is managed and measured by NGOs and what aspects of performance lead to successful financial performance, efficiency and effectiveness. In this paper we provide a review of the different definitions and frameworks of performance measurement and management in NGOs sector.
