On theapproximation of thestate equations of nonlinearpermanent magnetsynchronousmotors

Thispaperpresents an approximate lin- earized modelforpermanent-magnet synchronous motors. Thelinearized modelisderived usingan optimization technique, whichisobtained byminimizing acostfunction fora particular solution. Numerical experiments show goodagreement ofthemethodwiththenonlinear system forbothautonomous andnon-autonomous cases. Itturns outthatunlike theclassical linearization, thelinearization methodusedhereisnotafirst orderapproximation, but hasthesameorderasthenonlinearity. Themethodcan beusedforthecontrol ofdifferent typesofpermanent magnetsynchronous motors.
