Impact of natural rubber on biological fouling and degradation of polyethylene composites

The biological degradation of composites based on polyethylene and natural rubber by mixed Mucor culture and soil microbiota was investigated. According to the results, the intensity of biofouling and degradation were determined by the phase structure of the developed composites and could be regulated by natural rubber content and technology of composites preparation.
