Analysis on Contrast of Ground Targets and Backgrounds Irradiated by Artificial Infrared Illuminator

Analysis on contrast of ground targets and backgrounds irradiated through artificial infrared illuminator is a great signification to detect,identify,study the IR stealth technology,simulate for infrared characteristic.The theory model which the ground targets are irradiated by artificial infrared illuminator is built,beginning with the definition,the basic calculation which the contrast of ground targets and backgrounds are irradiated through infrared illuminator is derived,the contrast of targets and backgrounds in the whole wave-band(0~+∞),3~5μm wave-band,8~14μm wave-band is simulation calculated and analysed when the ground targets in the natural environment.The results show that the contrast of targets and backgrounds will decline greatly when the targets are irradiated by different illuminator power and the tagets's emissivity are changed properly.
