The Evolution of Organization Structure:Study on the HeXie Management Theory

From the beginning of the organizations,the structure of them evolves from ″function oriented″ as work specialization its character to ″process oriented″ as collaboration its character,and finally to the integration of them to encompass the efficiency of the function and the wholism of the process.On the basis of interrelated theories,we summarize the model of factors that influence organizations' structure.Nowadays,with the complication of organizations' environment and the increase of the uncertainty,traditional organization structure is confronted with six challenges from four aspects,only attending on the design of function and workflow cannot adapt these changes.From the perspective of HeXie Management Theory,This article argues that the future organization structure should not only pay attention to the function and process device,but also the people of the organizations,that is,use the coupling of device of function and process and the inducement of people to effectively cope with above challenges.
