The Application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process in Sales Personnel Recruitment

Recruitment and hiring is a complex process in which multiple criteria are applied in evaluating candidates for positions. The application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process enables recruiters to prioritize their criteria, rank potential candidates in a consistent manner, and thorougly document the process. The relative importance of criteria and the relative extent of satisfaction of the criteria are assigned weights which are propagated to give an overall ranking of the candidates and to generate a measure of the consistency of the evaluation.
