Controlled active- and reactive-power flow using a DIPFC

2005
In this paper a dynamic interphase power flow controller (DIPFC) is described with a fundamental-component based model. The full expanded version of this FACTS-(flexible alternating current transmission system) type allows a decoupled exchange of active and reactive power between two arbitrary network nodes of the same voltage level. In a concrete example two 20 kV network nodes are coupled with a DIPFC, which is connected with two cables of 5 km length each. The results show the capability of power exchange in the case of a load angle of 60 degree between the termination points
