Isolation, identification and screening of bio-active probiotic strain from human breast milk

Probiotic strains (P1–P36) were isolated from human breast milk and characterized their probiotic efficiency using broiler chicken. On the basis of screening, probiotic isolate P23 was selected for evaluation under controlled experimental conditions. In the present study evaluate the effect of antimicrobial activity against various pathogens. These 12 isolated strains numbered as P4, P6, P8, P10, PI6, PI7, P20, P21, P22, P23, P25, P28 were used for further analysis like acid and bile tolerance, gastric transit tolerance and antimicrobial property against pathogenic organisms.
