Dielectric Sensing with Supported Gold Bipyramids

The surface plasmon resonance shift of gold bipyramids deposited on glass slides is investigated as a function of dielectric environement. Due to their narrow ensemble resonance, the bipyramids prove to be highly sensitive near-infrared sensors.
