In a multi-tasking processor system, different memory means (8) are provided for different program sequences, which may each comprise a stack (9) for the program counter, a register (10) for temporarily storing data and status register (11). Upon occurrence of an interrupt event (EV) which causes a change from a current execution to a new program flow is controlled by a controller (21) of the associated the old program flow memory means (8) to the associated the new program flow memory means (8) switched.
