Worklife Estimates by Occupation: A Comment

In the Spring/Summer 1996 issue of the Journal of Forensic Economics, Richards and Solie presented a model purporting to derive occupational worklives. To a limited extent, the results of their model are suggestive of worklives within an occupation, but their assumption of no occupational mobility, other unsupported assumptions, and methodological flaws render the results of the model meaningless.
