Unprecedented coupling reaction between two anionic species of Closo-decahydrodecaborate cluster and Anderson-type polyoxometalates.

A novel decahydrodecaborate-functionalized Anderson type polyoxometalate has been synthesized and characterized in solution by ESI-MS, various NMR techniques and electrochemistry. DFT studies bring strong support to understand the properties of this hybrid system.
