Separation, identification and assay of fluradoline hydrochloride in the presence of other tricyclic antidepressants or neuroleptics by spectra and thin-layer and liquid chromatographic methods

1993
Abstract Fluradoline hydrochloride is a novel centrally analgesic with antidepressant activity. Its UV absorption and emission spectra and thin-layer and liquid chromatrographic (TLC and LC) identification are described. The separation of tricyclic antidepressant or neuroleptic compounds including zotepine, amoxapine, loxapine, fluperlapine, clotiapine, nitroxazepine and fluradoline by TLC and LC is reported. The UV spectrophotometic, spectrofluorimetric and LC methods described can be applied to the determination of fluradoline.
