Laptev Sea Shelf Construction: from the Stratigraphic Tie of Horizons to Potential HC Traps

The study is based on the results of integrated interpretation of geological – geophysical data (seismic, gravity, magnetic, geological survey data) acquired by MAGE on the Laptev Sea shelf in 2005-2011. The work purpose is to substantiate a seismic stratigraphic model of the sedimentary cover structure, a basin structure and the types of probable hydrocarbon traps. The main method of the research – the seismic stratigraphic and structural analyses. There advanced the arguments for epi-Late Cimmerian Age of the sedimentary cover of the Laptev Sea basin, shown examples of imaging of potential traps, mostly fault ones in a wave field.
