도로 측구 반사균열 저감을 위한 합성 분리막 적용성 연구

The functions of road gutters are to provide drainage channels by collecting storm water, structural support to the pavement edge, and a boundary for safety, to discourage drivers from parking or driving on sidewalks and lawns. However, road gutters often deteriorate due to unexpected traffic load and severe climatic changes during their life, resulting in cracks, spalling, etc. A variety of overlaying activities have been applied to remedying the problem, however, they often develop reflective cracking, detaching from the existing layer in a short period. In this study, a synthetic compound separate membrane (SCSM) was employed to mitigate reflective cracking of road gutter. The findings of laboratory and field tests along with numerical evaluation indicated that the applicability of SCSM is promising.
