Self-Referencing Wavefront Sensor

A modified Smartt point-diffraction interferometer employing phase-shifting electronic phase measurement techniques is described. Special techniques making it possible for the interferometer to give good visibility interference fringes for a large range of input wavefront tilts are discussed.
