Australia Ensemble Concert: Among the Rushes

This live music performance was given by the Australia Ensemble on 31 July 2020. The concert program encapsulates the character of a national style, and the translucent combination of clarinet and piano takes us through Argentina, Cuba, America, Ireland and Australia, capturing all the colours and dances of these global snapshots. The program included Ian Munro's "Songs from the Bush", which was originally written in 2009 for clarinet and string quartet, premiered by Sabine Meyer on tour with Musica Viva Australia. In 2020 Munro arranged the work for clarinet and piano. This is the first performance of the new version of this work.
