Un « effet-pointe » troublant sur l’hCG dosé au cours de la chimiothérapie de rattrapage d’une tumeur trophoblastique chez une jeune femme

Summary The clinical case reports about hCG surge observed during the third cure of the second-line chemotherapy in a woman with a gestational trophoblastic tumor. The use of a software for the kinetic of tumor markers allowed to discard a resistance to the treatment. A serum tumor marker surge at the start of chemotherapy is observed in 20 % of the patients. Its prognostic significance is controversial. The identification of hCG surge is needed to avoid unnecessary change of chemotherapy.
