Effect of arginine-vasopressin (4-8) on PKC and PKA activities in rat brain

The specific binding of AVP (4-8) on rat hippocampus was determined by radioligand binding assay. The activity of PKC in rat brain was significantly enhanced by AVP(4-8), and the enhancement of PKC was suppressed by ZDC(C)PR, an antagonist of AVP (4-8). Under the same conditions, the activity of PKA was not changed.
