Exact theory of parametric interactions and spin resonance with counter-rotating terms

Abstract It is shown that the counter rotating terms in a large class of theories such as parametric interactions and spin resonance can be exactly taken into account. For acoustic or electromagnetic parametric wave amplification, the exact t theory gives rigorous domains for frequency, coupling and damping parameters where amplification can occur and for frequency conversion and spin resonance it displays the expected higher order resonances.
