The invention discloses a 24-pulse rectifier converter system and an imbalance current adjusting method thereof, and aims at solving the problem that a converter system with a phase-shifting transformer has large harmonic influences on a power grid side. The 24-pulse rectifier converter system comprises a power grid (1), the phase-shifting transformer (2), input reactors, rectifier modules, an inverse module (5) and a load (6). The balance of input currents of various rectifier modules is reached by adjusting inductances of the input reactors on various output loops of the phase-shifting transformer, so that the harmonic influences on the power grid are reduced; the rectifier modules output high-quality direct current voltages through arranging a 24-pulse rectifier at an output end of the phase-shifting transformer; meanwhile, various paths of harmonic waves at an input side of the phase-shifting transformer are offset each other; and the influences of the harmonic waves on the power grid are reduced.
